Feeding the world’s ever-expanding population requires new thinking about sources of food with aquaculture expanding rapidly to bridge demand. Monitoring of fish farms has historically been performed by divers, however this is now seen as an expensive, time consuming and dangerous process. Our ROVs and stationary cameras provide a low cost and efficient method of inspecting nets, inspecting moorings, assessing feeding habits and retrieving mortsmoats. The ROV is portable and ready for deployment in under 3 minutes. The Connect camera system can be permanently mounted in the cages/nets to monitor the conditions and send the live video feed of these conditions to the farm operator for surveillance, with sensors capturing further data to monitor conditions.
